‘Hello Again’: The Starbucks you love is ready

The daily coffee ritual. The first sip. The morning rhythm. The barista who knows your order. These moments bring Starbucks to life – and they’re at the heart of our latest campaign, Hello Again, which launches in the UK today.
But Hello Again is more than an advert, it’s a reintroduction. A tribute to our customers and Green Apron Partners. A celebration of the craft, care, and community that define Starbucks. In just 60 seconds, it captures everything that makes Starbucks, Starbucks.
Back to Starbucks
Originally debuting in the US, Hello Again has been thoughtfully adapted for UK audiences with a British voiceover and tailored script. But why Hello Again? Because it’s more than just a tagline – it’s an invitation. A reintroduction of Starbucks, highlighting what has always set us apart: unmatched coffee expertise, warm connections, and a welcoming space for communities to gather.
The advert opens at dawn, a city just waking up. Lights flicker on, the Starbucks logo illuminates, and the rhythm of the day begins. A seamless choreography of movement unfolds – a barista expertly tamps espresso, steam swirls, a customer is handed their drink. The ritual of Starbucks, brought to life.
“At Starbucks, everything starts and ends with our Green Apron Partners, and for me, the beauty of this campaign lies in its simplicity – showcasing them doing what they love,” explains Esther van Onselen, vp, brand & customer experience, EMEA, “we hope viewers will agree that ‘Hello Again’ perfectly captures the essence of Starbucks – our role as the community coffeehouse and our commitment to the artistry of coffee.”

A thundering soundtrack
Set to the high energy pulse of AC/DC’s Thunderstruck, the advert mirrors the momentum of a bustling Starbucks store – from the hiss of steaming milk to the shake of an Iced Shaken Espresso (ten times – no more, no less!).
“Hello Again is a declaration of a return to our roots with a celebration of coffee and connection. The creative exudes the excitement and intention that goes into creating the best experience for our customers – from our baristas’ personal engagement to the beverages they craft. The music brings the energy and felt fitting for reintroducing Starbucks to the world,” Global Chief Brand Officer Tressie Lieberman.
A closer look: the details you might’ve missed
Every second of Hello Again is packed with intentional detail. Listen closely: “Beans ground, milk frothed, shots pulled, espresso shaken … ten times – no more no less.” True coffee lovers will know – ten shakes is the golden rule for aerating and chilling espresso to the perfect texture.

A nod to the past, a step into the future
The advert evokes warmth and nostalgia – from golden morning light streaming through café windows to the rich crema of a perfectly pulled espresso shot.
At the 0:34, there’s a hidden gem – a vintage photo of the original Starbucks sign in Seattle, straight from our archives. This was the very sign that hung above our first store at Pike Place Market in 1971.
In the final montage, customers and real Green Apron Partners (Starbucks baristas) hold their Starbucks cups in analogue-style snapshots reminiscent of old family photos, Polaroids, and shared memories. A tribute to the history we’ve built together.
The last frame? A smiling barista handing over a freshly made coffee. Because, at its heart, that’s what Starbucks is all about. Coffee and connection.
