Above the Clouds: Starbucks Vietnam Opens the Highest Starbucks Coffeehouse in Asia on Fansipan Mountain
From its position on the “Roof of Indochina,” customers can enjoy their favorite Starbucks® beverages while taking in panoramic views of the Sapa highlands.
Situated at the peak of Fansipan Mountain and surrounded by the rolling clouds of northern Vietnam, Starbucks newest coffeehouse has officially opened its doors, marking a new milestone as the highest Starbucks® coffeehouse in Asia.
From its position on the “Roof of Indochina,” customers can enjoy their favorite Starbucks® beverages while taking in panoramic views of the Sapa highlands.

A Coffeehouse Shaped by Mountains, Culture, and Craft
The design of the Starbucks® Fansipan coffeehouse draws deeply from the region’s natural beauty and cultural richness and the beautiful vistas.
From the outside, the coffeehouse features a sage green façade wrapped in fluted local textiles, a nod to the vibrant woven patterns seen throughout Sapa. This craftsmanship creates subtle texture and moments of discovery as customers approach the entrance.
Inside, the space takes inspiration from the surrounding highlands. A palette of deep green, warm beige, natural wood, and lush greenery creates a gentle, greenhouse like atmosphere – calm, warm, and close to nature.
A custom glass artwork sits above the bar, capturing the undulating contours of Fansipan Mountain and Vietnam’s coffee growing landscapes. Throughout the space, artwork inspired by botanicals and coffee farms helps tell the story of the region.
With a variety of seating options, customers can pause, reconnect, and absorb the sweeping views of the majestic Sapa mountains.

A Limited‑Time Cloud‑Inspired Beverage
To celebrate the opening of the highest Starbucks® coffeehouse in Asia, Starbucks Vietnam is introducing the Cloud Macchiato series (hot & iced), available across Vietnam from March 14-20. Inspired by the clouds and sky, the Cloud Macchiato layers fluffy cloud foam over smooth milk and bold espresso, finished with a caramel drizzle to create a creamy, cloud-like texture with a balanced mix of sweetness and coffee aroma.
