Celebrating Pride Month with Starbucks Partners from Asia Pacific
This Pride Month, we’re proud to spotlight the voices and journeys of our LGBTQIA2+ partners who are making a difference in their communities, one cup at a time.

Across the Asia Pacific region, our partners (employees) are the heart of our stores and the soul of our mission to create a warm, inclusive environment for all. This Pride Month, we’re proud to spotlight the voices and journeys of our LGBTQIA2+ partners who are making a difference in their communities, one cup at a time.
Pim – Starbucks Thailand

Before becoming a partner, Pim was a loyal customer and a passionate fan of Starbucks. Now, more than three years into the journey, Pim is a shift supervisor whose love for coffee has only deepened.
“I’ve come to see that every coffee bean carries value and hope. Behind each cup is a story of hard work—from farm to store. That realization fuels my passion every day.”
A proud moment in Pim’s career was being named the Starbucks Thailand Barista Champion and representing the market at the 2024 Regional Barista Championships.
“That experience made me believe that no matter who you are, you can achieve your dreams at Starbucks. I never imagined I could be an inspiration to others—especially those in the LGBTQIA2+ community. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and hope to inspire others who are still finding their way.”
Natthawat “F” – Starbucks Thailand

F’s journey with Starbucks began with a curiosity about coffee flavors and a desire to explore the world behind each bean. Four years later, it’s the inclusive culture that keeps F inspired.
“Starbucks is open—open to diversity in gender, opinions, and perspectives. It’s a place where we can express ourselves and be heard. That’s what helps me grow.”
F believes that opportunity is the most powerful gift we can offer.
“For the LGBTQIA2+ community, opportunity is everything. Talent isn’t defined by gender. I’ve been trusted with responsibilities, and I’ve always given my best—whether in customer service, team activities, or daily tasks. For Starbucks to thrive, we must continue to share opportunities with everyone.”
Mon – Starbucks Vietnam

Mon’s admiration for Starbucks began during her university days, drawn in by the brand’s signature colors and welcoming atmosphere. Today, she’s a store manager with over 10 years of experience.
“My love for coffee goes beyond taste—it’s about the journey and the joy it brings. Seeing a customer smile after their first sip reminds me why I do what I do.”
As a member of the LGBTQIA2+ community, Mon once worried about being her authentic self in a fast-paced environment. But Starbucks changed that.
“Here, I feel truly welcomed, respected, and safe. When we’re free to be ourselves, we bring out the best in each other.”
Eugene – Starbucks Vietnam

Eugene began as a barista and now works in Talent Acquisition at the Starbucks Vietnam Support Center. What drew him to Starbucks was the freedom to be himself.
“At Starbucks, individuality is celebrated. From tattoos and hair colors to personalized name tags, we’re encouraged to express who we are. That’s why Starbucks feels like my second home.”
Eugene sees Starbucks as more than a coffee company—it’s a symbol of inclusion.
“The company doesn’t just talk about supporting the LGBTQIA2+ community—it takes real action. From inclusive policies to public campaigns, Starbucks creates a space where everyone feels seen and valued. In a world where prejudice still exists, that means everything.”
Kit – Starbucks Vietnam

Kit started his journey with little knowledge of coffee. Today, he’s a certified Coffee Master and a proud member of the Starbucks family.
“At Starbucks, it doesn’t matter who you are. You’re part of a family—someone who walks this journey together with others. We share every moment, every challenge, every success.”
Pride, Every Day
These stories are just a few of the many that show how Starbucks partners across Asia Pacific are living our mission and values. This Pride Month—and every month—we celebrate the courage, authenticity, and strength of our LGBTQIA2+ partners. Together, we continue to build a culture of belonging, where everyone is welcome.
