Participate in the museum’s <a href="https://nmaahc.si.edu/explore/initiatives/freedmens-bureau-records">Freedmen’s Bureau Transcription Project</a> from home. With over 1.5 million pages of original documents to transcribe, this is the largest crowdsourcing initiative ever sponsored by the museum – and you can help understand our nation’s history, connect people with their pasts and inform future generations.
