Day 4: Meeting Customers Where They Are

At Starbucks, we’re in the people business first. We’d like you to meet Kelsie, a barista in Seattle, who learned tactile sign language so she could communicate with Robert, a Deafblind customer. She’s able to have conversations and take his order. It’s an example of the caring, compassionate and personalized service that comes to life every day at Starbucks stores around the world.  

This is Starbucks. This is uplifting the everyday. This is meeting customers where they are – whether it’s special moments like Kelsie and Robert, conversations at the drive-thru, customizing drinks, or rolling out new digital and brand experiences.
