Day 3: Making Human Connections 

This year, we unveiled a new mission statement at Starbucks, one that adapts to the changing needs of our partners, our business and the world around us. It reads, “With every cup, with every conversation, with every community – we nurture the limitless possibilities of human connection.” This new mission recognizes that connection is a fundamental human need, one we’re uniquely positioned to help meet with a global community of hundreds of thousands of farmers and store and support partners.  

At Starbucks, we believe we’re stitched together by a green thread. One example is our Digital Traceability Tool, which can connect a barista in Seattle with Virginie, a farmer in Rwanda – through our newest whole-bean core coffee offering, Green Apron Blend.  

During Global Coffee Week, we hope you’re inspired by the everyday ritual of coffee, and the limitless possibilities of human connection.
