Lady Gaga Creates Guest DJ Playlist for Starbucks

Lady Gaga and her Born This Way Foundation are taking over the airwaves at Starbucks, giving the international recording artist who has inspired legions of Little Monsters a glimpse into the music that embodies the mission of building a kinder, braver world.

In celebration of the recently launched Channel Kindness platform, Lady Gaga and Born This Way Foundation have compiled a Guest DJ playlist for Starbucks. The 80-song playlist is a tribute to love and kindness and features artists including Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, Whitney Houston, and more.

Channel Kindness is a new digital platform featuring stories of kindness as documented by young people from around the U.S. The platform features videos, first person essays, interviews with youth leaders and more, highlighting the people who are changing the world one act of kindness at a time.

This curated Guest DJ playlist can be heard overhead at more than 7,900 Starbucks® stores beginning April 7. Customers can use the Starbucks® mobile app to discover music playing overhead at Starbucks stores, save songs to their personal playlists on Spotify and listen to Starbucks music anywhere they go on Spotify.

The Starbucks Guest DJ Series gives artists selected by the Starbucks Entertainment team the opportunity to select the music heard overhead in the company’s U.S. stores. Previous Guest DJs include Chris Stapleton, Tony Bennett, Common, Leon Bridges, Brandi Carlile, Brittany Howard of the Alabama Shakes, Corinne Bailey Rae, Troye Sivan and more.
