Exclusive ECOALF Products at Starbucks Roastery

A visit to the Starbucks Reserve® Roastery and Tasting Room in Seattle is a journey of discovery. Customers can watch master roasters at work, chat with coffee specialists and enjoy small batch coffees from around the world. Complementing the coffee experience is a hand-selected collection of merchandise from designers who share the same attention to craft and detail.

Jennifer Quotson, vice president of Starbucks Creative, is curator of the Roastery collection. When Quotson met Javier Goyeneche, founder of the sustainable fashion brand ECOALF, she quickly realized he was offering something special.

“Sustainable clothing hasn’t always been synonymous with beautiful design,” Quotson said. “But ECOALF products are highly designed, with great attention to the way they fit and feel.”

This fall, Starbucks Roastery is offering a line of clothing and footwear curated from Goyeneche’s collection, including sweaters, vests, jackets and shoes. The Roastery also offers exclusive ECOALF for Starbucks Reserve® products made with recycled coffee grounds, including a backpack, travel bag and accessory bag.

“I appreciate Javier’s brand ethos,” Quotson said. “He’s dedicated to saving our oceans. He’s using old plastic bottles, worn-out tires, and fishing nets, and using them to make beautiful products that people appreciate.”

ECOALF was founded in 2012 with a vision to create the first generation of recycled products with the same attention to quality, design and technical properties as the best non-recycled products on the market. Fabrics are developed in partnership with manufacturers around the world to collect and process waste into fabric and components with high levels of recycled content.

“The goal of our Roastery collection is to elevate the retail experience and make our partners and customers proud,” Quotson said. “That’s the thing that makes me happiest about this product. People can feel good about it.”

ECOALF will be available at the Roastery through early November.
