The New Year is here, and along with it comes a host of new ways to eat, drink and improve wellness.
Evolution Fresh and its founder, Jimmy Rosenberg, have a few ideas to help turn 2016 into the healthiest year yet.
Turn It Around
Sometimes doing a little can mean a lot. From drinking a green juice to taking a daily walk, Evolution Fresh is encouraging and rewarding people whoturn it around with small, positive changes for a little joy and wellness in 2016.
Now through March 13, people can share their health and wellness activities on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook for a chance to win a year’s supply of Evolution Fresh green juice and other health-and-wellness-inspired prize packs*.
One easy, positive change people can make in the New Year is choosing Evolution Fresh cold-pressed, high-pressure processed green juice – a tasty, nutritious way to get green vegetable goodness. When selecting a green juice, Evolution Fresh recommends turning around the bottle to examine the ingredient list. Evolution Fresh green juices feature a simple ingredient list with a green vegetable listed first – a sign of a truly green, green juice.
The greenest Evolution Fresh™ green juices are made from more than a pound of vegetables per bottle and have 10 grams of sugar or less per 8-fluid-ounce serving. Additionally, Evolution Fresh juices are cold-pressed using high-pressure processing (HPP) to help protect flavor and nutrients. The brand’s green juice line-up contains authentic flavors and a variety of ingredient offerings, including:
Emerald Greens: cool cucumber with sweet apple, a squeeze of citrus and a chorus of leafy greens for a thoroughly thirst-quenching blend.
Essential Greens with Lime: a nutritious green juice with notes of spinach, romaine lettuce and kale, accented by cucumber, celery and a hint of lime for a refreshing finish. This drink is made from more than a pound of vegetables per bottle.
Green Devotion: a blend of sharp tangy celery, ultra-refreshing cucumber and leafy greens to create a light, lively juice.
Organic Sweet Greens and Ginger: made from leafy greens and vegetables blended with a sweet apple and lightly spiked with spicy ginger. All 100 percent organic, this is made from more than a pound of vegetables per bottle.
Sweet Greens and Lemon: a refreshing green juice featuring a medley of green vegetables, a squeeze of lemon, and a touch of sweetness from apple. This juice is made from more than a pound of vegetables per bottle.
Smooth Greens and Kale: a medley of go-to greens with potassium, a splash of tropical sweetness and a smooth mint finish. This beverage is made from more than a pound of vegetables per bottle.
Jimmy’s 2016 Rituals to Improve Wellness
The founder of Evolution Fresh has been committed to healthy living and inspiring others for more than three decades, when he began selling his juices on the beaches of Santa Monica, California. Here are three tips from Jimmy:
Drink green juice daily: I love to point people towards incorporating green juice into their daily lives and ask them to pay close attention to how it makes them feel. By making your own juice at home, blending a smoothie with a mix of seasonal fruit, spinach and kale, nut milks and superfoods or grabbing a cold-pressed green juice; making green juice a part of your daily routine is an easy way to get more vegetables and nutrients in your diet. Taking this small step in the morning helps set the tone for your day, and more nurturing choices are bound to follow throughout the day.
Get moving: Adding some form of movement into your daily routine is so important, not just for your body, but also for your mood and focus. If you are trying to begin a new habit, I recommend finding an activity that you enjoy. Do not underestimate a simple, sustainable start. Taking a short walk can be a good way to establish a ritual that you build on over time. There is also great benefit in adding stretch sessions or yoga to your routine. If you are looking for a new activity, enroll in a class at a gym or getting guidance from a fitness trainer is a great way to get inspired.
Be present and practice an attitude of gratitude: In a world where smartphones and social media are a constant source of distraction, make sure the first person you check in with each day is you. Before the hustle of the day starts, take a moment to be present and set an intention for the day. Each morning, think of three things you are grateful for. I find that this attitude of gratitude helps inspire me to carry this positive and appreciative tone into the day ahead. Another way to be mindful and become present is to practice five-minute mediations. Take a series of deep, intentional breaths to bring your awareness within.
