Starbucks Coffee and Pepsico Help to ‘Beat the Heat’ with a Premium Chilled Beverage

Today at the legendary Presidente Masaryk Starbucks store, Starbucks (NASDAQ: SBUX) and PepsiCo (NYSE: PEP) celebrated the launch of Starbucks® bottled Frappuccino® ready-to-drink (RTD) coffee beverages with a historic toast. The rich and creamy coffee beverage is now available for the first time in Mexico at select grocery and convenience stores, allowing consumers to enjoy the Starbucks Experience anywhere, anytime.

"Starbucks® bottled Frappuccino® coffee drink offers customers in Mexico the authentic experience of Starbucks® coffee whether they are at home, stuck in traffic or at the office," said Gerry Lopez, president of Starbucks Global Consumer Products Group. "We look forward to continuing the successful International Coffee Partnership (ICP) between Starbucks and Pepsi with the launch of this premium coffee beverage across Mexico."

"It is a pleasure to work with an innovative company that strives to offer consumers the best quality and products on the market," said Diego Cosio, President of Pepsi International. "We are thrilled to introduce Starbucks® bottled Frappuccino® across Mexico."

Starbucks® bottled Frappuccino® coffee drink is made with authentic Starbucks® Italian Roast coffee, which is a medium-bodied blend of Latin American coffees. When blended with milk and the right amount of sweetness, it provides an irresistible taste experience, highlighted by the sweet, slightly smoky flavor of the Italian Roast coffee.

"The distribution around this new ready-to-drink product is to offer the opportunity to enjoy the great flavor of the Starbucks® bottled Frappuccino® coffee drink in every place at every moment, taking the third place experience to every one," said Richard DePencier, vice president of Starbucks Global Consumer Products.

Starbucks® bottled Frappuccino® coffee drink is available in each of the 231 Starbucks stores in Mexico, and can also be found in grocery, club and convenience stores. The three flavors featured will be Coffee, Mocha and Vanilla.
