The Starbucks Foundation Commits $1 million to American Red Cross Disaster Relief

In response to the relief efforts underway following the tornadoes in the Midwest this weekend, The Starbucks Foundation contributes $50,000 of its broader commitment to strengthen communities.

The Starbucks Foundation will contribute $50,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief in response to the tornadoes in the Midwest. This contribution is part of The Starbucks Foundation’s $1 million commitment to the Red Cross Annual Disaster Giving Program – an effort designed to help make resources available for people and communities as soon as needs arise.

In addition to this contribution from The Starbucks Foundation, effective December 13 Starbucks will offer customers the opportunity to donate to the Red Cross directly through the point of sale in nearly 9,000 U.S. company-operated locations.
