Bake the sugar cookie recipe that inspired the new holiday drink
In celebration of National Cookie Day on Dec. 4, Starbucks is sharing the sugar cookie recipe that inspired the newest beverage to join the holiday menu: the Iced Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte. The recipe comes from the kitchen of Rosalyn Batingan, a member of the Starbucks beverage development team who started with a traditional spritz recipe and added hints of vanilla and almond flavor to create the perfect sugar cookie. The recipe is simple with few ingredients but packs a punch of holiday nostalgia. Learn more about Batingan and get the recipe here.
You Vote, We Give
Starbucks is continuing its commitment to strengthening communities with the “You Vote, We Give” campaign, The Starbucks Foundation will donate a cumulative $1 million to the following nonprofits: Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Direct Relief and World Central Kitchen.
Starting today, through Dec. 15 customers can cast a vote for the cause they care most about. The organization with the most votes will receive $500,000, with the second and third place runner ups receiving $300,000 and 200,000 respectively. The results will be announced on Dec. 16 – and the celebrations begin!
