Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ: SBUX) today reported financial results for its 13-week fiscal second quarter ended March 29, 2020.
As part of the earnings report, the company shared it continues to focus on three key principles as it navigates through COVID-19: prioritize the well-being of partners (employees) and customers, support health and government officials, and responsibly serve its communities.
Through this approach, the company noted it is showing steady business improvement in China, where nearly all stores have opened with modified operations. In the U.S., Starbucks is entering the “monitor and adapt” phase, where it will open many more stores under modified formats and with best-in-class safety protocols.
