Last year, there were approximately 36.9 million people living with HIV and AIDS worldwide. Today, 21.7 million people are accessing life-saving antiretroviral therapy, up from 20.9 million at the end of 2017. There’s still much work to be done to maintain this progress, which is why Starbucks remains a proud partner of (RED), raising money and awareness for the fight against HIV and AIDS.
To honor World AIDS Day on Dec. 1, Starbucks will donate 20 cents (USD) for every handcrafted latte purchased in participating U.S. and Canada Starbucks stores to the Global Fund to help fight AIDS with (RED).
This is the 11th year Starbucks has partnered with (RED) on World AIDS Day. Over the years, the company has contributed more than $15 million to the Global Fund to help fund lifesaving programs like treatment, prevention and care services.
