Video: Partner Forum at Starbucks Carson Valley Roasting Plant

On February 10, Starbucks chairman and ceo Howard Schultz hosted an all-partner (employee) meeting in the Carson Valley Roasting Plant in Nevada.

As the discussion turned to politics, one partner said: "I am so busy and have very little time. Staying up on politics is not my biggest priority and what I do see is confusing and frustrating. Howard, what are you seeing, what are the issues we should be concerned with, and why should I care?"

Company meetings, called Partner Open Forums, are regular occurrences for partners who work in the Starbucks Support Center (headquarters) in Seattle. Schultz and other Starbucks leaders also meet with partners across the U.S. and around the world throughout the year.

So far in 2016, Schultz has talked with partners at forums in Chengdu and Hong Kong, China; Jakarta, Indonesia; Mumbai, India; Brooklyn, New York; along with all-partner meetings in Minden, Nevada, and Seattle, Washington.
