Jaime Riley

senior vice president, global communications

Jaime Riley is the senior vice president of Starbucks global communications where she leads corporate, brand and international communications. In this role, Jaime and her team serve as stewards of the brand, telling the best stories of Starbucks while fiercely defending its reputation around the world.

Prior to her current role, Jaime served as vice president of corporate communications, driving integrated communications strategies and media relations.

Jaime joined Starbucks in 2015 as a director of corporate and issues communications. Before that, she was a vice president of corporate communications and public affairs at Edelman, where, among her other responsibilities, she was embedded in the Starbucks global comms team for three years. She knew then that she wanted to be part of Starbucks, a company dedicated to delivering performance through the lens of humanity.

Jaime is passionate about working toward something bigger than just the individual or the company, but rather what helps create a world where everyone feels like they belong. In service of that commitment, she is the executive champion of the global comms Inclusion & Diversity team and is also an executive champion of Starbucks Interfaith Partner Network. She has also served as a board member of the YMCA of Greater Seattle. She believes that we can all learn from each other and that mentoring others is an important way to help cultivate the next generation of leaders.

Jaime holds a Master of Business Administration degree from East Carolina University and a bachelor's degree in business communications from Clemson University. She’s a born and raised New Yorker who now calls Seattle home, although she still roots for her beloved New York Yankees.

Her favorite Starbucks beverage is a tall Blonde Americano, which she drinks both at work and at home to help her keep up with the three boisterous and busy sons she shares with her husband, as well as the family’s exuberant Yellow Lab.
