Debbie Stroud is Starbucks senior vice president, U.S. Operations, leading the regional vice president team that oversees store operations across the country. Her primary focus is to create meaningful human connections in Starbucks stores by delivering the best partner (employee) experience.
Debbie started her journey at Starbucks in 2017 as the regional vice president, Licensed Stores, for the U.S. central southeast. In January 2020, she became vice president, Operations, serving as a key leader within Operations Services and the U.S. leadership team, driving decision-making and strategy in critical workstreams, from COVID-19 modified operations, to labor and technology excellence to supporting complex staffing, scheduling and production needs. She enjoys co-creating a strong vision for operational excellence, while sharing energy and passion to achieve results as a team.
Debbie’s career began with McDonald’s in 1990 where she served in numerous financial roles and transitioned to operations in 2003, ultimately serving as vice president and general manager in the U.S. southeast. Debbie holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Illinois Wesleyan University and has previously served on the Women’s Foodservice Forum and the North Carolina Ronald McDonald House Charities board of directors.
Debbie lives in the Seattle area with her husband Bob. They enjoy travel, spending time with their three daughters and extended family, and together they enjoy a morning routine of a sugar-free vanilla latte.
