Das Dasgupta is Starbucks senior vice president and chief data & analytics officer. He leads the Data & Analytical Insights for Business Operations (DAIBO) team at Starbucks, spanning Customer Experience, Product Innovation and Operational Excellence, breaking silos across functions to enable a holistic view of the company.
Das is a strategic, business-savvy servant leader who enjoys navigating across all levels of stakeholders. His prior experience includes leadership roles at Amazon, Viacom, McKinsey, EY, and most recently, Saatchi & Saatchi. He is known for building top-tier teams that deliver actionable insights for stakeholders, mining the treasure trove of data across the ecosystem of employees, stores, products, operations, marketing and supply chain.
His education includes dual Ph.D. titles in operations research and business administration from Penn State University. He also has a master's degree in statistics from the University at Buffalo, N.Y., and a bachelor's degree in statistics from Presidency University, India.
Das enjoys reading, listening to music, working out and spending time with friends and family. He also enjoys teaching data science and operations online at the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business on Saturday mornings. His favorite Starbucks drink is a tall brewed Pike Place Roast with Splenda.
