Arthur Valdez brings to Starbucks more than 30 years of leadership experience in the operational supply chain and logistics industry. He has spent his career building customer experience network solutions and solving problems across many key business areas – from product inventory management, retail store operational efficiency, manufacturing, distribution and fulfillment to transportation. These geographical networks span North, South and Central America, as well as across Europe and Asia. His prior roles include senior leadership positions at Target, Amazon and Walmart.
Arthur recently retired from Target where he served for seven years as executive vice president and chief supply chain and logistics officer. In this role, he oversaw all functions of Target’s global supply chain and logistics network.
He graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in production operations management. The son of Mexican American and Cuban parents, Arthur was the first member of his family to attend college. Today, he devotes time mentoring other first-generation and minority college students.
Arthur is proud to serve on the Global Leadership Council of the Colorado State University School of Business and the board of directors for Advance Auto Parts, Inc.
Arthur’s favorite Starbucks beverage is an Almondmilk Latte, or in the fall, a Pumpkin Spice Latte.
