connection through the simple act of writing customers names on coffee cups.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n<body><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year\u2019s Starbucks holiday ad was inspired by this well-loved tradition. Set to the iconic track <em>\u201cI\u2019m Gonna Be (500 Miles)\u201d<\/em> by The Proclaimers, <em>Drawn Together <\/em>reminds us of the importance of finding small moments for togetherness, especially at the busiest time of year.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n<body><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDrawn Together is all about those small, thoughtful gestures\u2014a handcrafted coffee, a festive doodle on a red cup\u2014that can spark meaningful connections,\u201d said <strong>Esther van Onselen, vp brand &amp; customer experience, Starbucks EMEA.<\/strong> \u201cThis campaign brings our Back to Starbucks strategy to life by celebrating what makes us iconic: our craft, our people, and\u00a0<em>and the moments of connection that happen every day in our coffeehouses<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n<body><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A Sharpie tradition reimagined<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><body><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cGeoff\u2019s Sharpie drawings have instant humanity, and it felt unmistakably Starbucks from the first sketch.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/body><\/blockquote>\n\n\n<body><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scribbled names and the occasional wonky heart \u2013 for years our baristas\u2019 doodles add a little personal touch to every order. Based out of Los Angeles, he\u2019s an immensely talented multidisciplinary artist best known for his work on fantastical and offbeat movies like <em>Where the Wild Things Are <\/em>and <em>HER<\/em>. McFetridge celebrates the simple things with a minimalist style that\u2019s straightforward but expressive \u2013 making him the perfect person to capture the heart of the Starbucks holiday message.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n<body><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe holidays can be full-on, so we wanted to make something that breathes within the madness. We started with a Sharpie on a cup\u2026the everyday handwriting of Starbucks, that humble line that writes your name also sketches our world,\u201d says <strong>Clara Mulligan, Chief Design Officer &amp; Managing Partner at Anomaly London<\/strong>. \u201cGeoff\u2019s Sharpie drawings have instant humanity, and it felt unmistakably Starbucks from the first sketch. His simple drawings, made by hand, telling a small story about people finding their way back to each other, and done with a lot of care.\u201d McFetridge\u2019s playful, doodle-like animation reminds us that the holiday spirit has little do with perfection and everything to do with enjoying the moment with loved ones.<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n<body><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Holiday magic hits the streets<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n<body><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We brought the hand-drawn magic off the screen and onto the streets with several billboard ads.
