Almost six in 10 adults \u2013 a whopping 31.4 million people \u2013 feel lonely most, often or some of the time. \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/body>\n\n<body><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The research also found that the younger generation are the loneliest, with seven out of 10 of 18-24 year-olds saying they feel lonely, compared to under half of those aged 65 and over.
