Top 3 things to know about Starbucks new Oat latte platform

As we welcome in 2022 and a new beverage menu across all Starbucks stores in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Starbucks is launching the first trio of its brand-new beverage innovation: the Oat latte platform.

  • Strawberry & Vanilla Oat
  • Honey & Hazelnut Oat
  • Dark Cocoa & Orange Oat

Featuring three vibrant new flavours: Strawberry & Vanilla, Honey & Hazelnut and Dark Cocoa & Orange, the new menu hits Starbucks stores across the region from today, 5 January 2022

And to celebrate their arrival, we’ve got the top three things you need to know about the new Oat latte platform below:

1. It’s been exclusively developed to optimise the flavour of oat dairy alternative

Often touted as the most neutral of all dairy alternatives, but with a slight natural sweetness and potential for silky-smooth froth, when paired with the right complementary flavours, oat milk brings a unique creamy base to beverages. Each handcrafted coffee in Starbucks new Oat latte range has oat dairy alternative at its core, perfectly paired to enhance the distinctive flavour combinations.

2. It’s Coffee forward, in a modern way

With over 50 years of established beverage craft behind us, coffee has been at our core since the beginning. As leaders in beverage innovation, Starbucks continues to evolve coffee year after year, expanding our menu to suit our customers’ changing taste and lifestyle preferences and enhance the Starbucks Experience. All the beverages in the Starbucks Oat latte platform are crafted with Starbucks Blonde® Roast – a lighter roasted espresso created by Starbucks master blenders and roasters with more than 50 years of roasting experience – which has a smooth body balanced with citrusy notes.

3. New beverages will be added every year, as the platform grows

Amping up customer’s usual oat latte order and offering unique new moments of joy and more delicious oat-based choices, the platform will see the addition of new dairy alternative beverages added in future seasons as part of our ongoing work to expand our plant-based choices, and move to a more environmentally friendly menu.


To coincide with the launch, Starbucks® UK will also no longer charge extra for ANY of its five dairy alternatives in UK stores from 5 January onwards, so customers will always be able to choose the right beverage customisation for them, all year round.
