Starbucks has voluntarily recalled the Bodum + Starbucks Recycled Coffee Press, which was sold in stores in countries across Europe, Middle East and Africa between January 2018 and April 2019. The coffee press’ plunger knob has the potential to break and expose the metal rod underneath.

While there have been no reports of any incident or related injury in Europe, the Middle East or Africa (EMEA), there have been a small number of such reports from customers in the U.S. and Canada. Out of an abundance of caution, we have still decided to initiate a voluntary recall of this product in EMEA. The safety of our customers will always be our top priority.

Remedy: Consumers should stop using this item and get in touch via the below information to request a refund.

The coffee presses measure about 9 inches high by about 4 inches in diameter. SKU number 11082066 is printed on a white label on the bottom of the base. Bodum and Made in Portugal are embossed on the bottom of the dark gray plastic base.
