Starbucks continues its support for Pride in Europe

Starbucks is supporting Pride marches around Europe, kicking off in London this weekend and following with Amsterdam later this summer, as it continues its longstanding commitment to embrace diversity and inclusivity around the region.  For the fourth year running, Starbucks is sponsoring Pride London with 160 Starbucks partners (employees), friends and family joining the parade on Saturday 7th July, marching under the Starbucks #TogetherwithPride balloon.

Bringing some extra sparkle, there will be Frappuccino served with special glitter*, available in eight participating stores along the London Parade route from Thursday July 5th – Sunday 8th July. Customers will also find shakers at the condiment bar filled with glitter, encouraging them to get creative and create the perfect Instagrammable drink.

Starbucks is bringing back their ‘Glam Stops’ before the parade, hosted by professional make-up artists from The Gypsy Shrine, The Queens of Glitter. All partners marching will be able to express their individuality through the art of sequins, glitter and sparkles.

Customers can also support by buying an exclusive Pride pin badge for £2**, with all proceeds going to Pride in London to support LGBTQ+ charities across the UK.

Carol Muldoon, Starbucks vp partner resources for Europe, Middle East and Africa, comments: “Every year we celebrate Pride with our partners and customers around the region. We are committed to championing diversity and offering a place to work where our partners can express their individuality and be proud of who they are.”

In 2007, Starbucks founded the Global Starbucks Pride Alliance to support and advocate for our LGBT+ partners. Today, its community is made up of thousands of partners around the world.
