To welcome the start of the holiday season, Starbucks has opened two brand new stores on some of Europe’s most popular holiday islands - Palma de Mallorca, Spain and Corfu, Greece.
Palma De Mallorca
Holidaymakers visiting the Mallorcan capital can now enjoy their favourite Starbucks drink whilst keeping an eye on their beach towel from the brand-new Starbucks store now open on Palma Beach.
The opening marks the first store of its kind on the Balearic Islands with the beachfront location blessed with the longest shoreline views on the island whilst also being a step away from the popular shopping streets of central Palma.
The open plan store makes the most of the sunny weather Palma basks in most of the year, and the timber flooring and wooden features give the space a modern feel. There are plenty of areas to enjoy a cup of coffee where customers can relax on one of the many lounge seats and coffee tables dotted around the store.
Connecting the sheltered indoor area with the terrace is a semi-transparent screen so customers can enjoy the glorious sunsets across the Mediterranean Sea from inside.
Starbucks new store in Corfu town is ideally placed in the most central part of the city and is a mere five-minute walk from the beach. Featuring a large outdoor area with umbrellas, this spacious store is the perfect place for coffee lovers to shelter from the summer sun.
This new store brings a fresh and modern industrial design whilst complementing typical Greek architectural features, such as the arches, raw cement, and light-coloured stone.
Walk up the steps and through the door brings you through into an inviting atmosphere where locals and holidaymakers alike are enjoying downtime with their favourite Starbucks drink. Set over three levels, the store also includes a long bar area where customers can see baristas creating drinks right before their eyes.
For those holidaymakers hoping to capture a taste of authentic Greek coffee culture, the Cappuccino Freddo, which has recently launched in stores across Europe, was originally crafted in Greece in the 1970's. A smooth cold foam is poured over our Starbucks Espresso Roast and served with ice a chilled version of the coffeehouse favourite.
