SSG Landers baseball celebrates Starbucks Day
Three-day event recognizes Starbucks partners (employees), customers and NGOs
On June 24th to 26th, Starbucks Coffee Korea celebrated local baseball team SSG Landers’ home games at the Incheon SSG Landers Field, offering a variety of events for visitors to enjoy as part of its Starbucks Day.
Over the three days, more than 1,000 guests invited by Starbucks showed their support for the team at the iconic baseball stadium and enjoyed delicious Starbucks beverages, food items, exclusive souvenirs, and fully immersed themselves in fun baseball themed mini games.
The company’s NGO partnerships, including the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation, Beautiful Foundation, and Heart to Heart Foundation, gave young fans the opportunity to meet their favorite baseball players.
Creating An Unforgettable Starbucks Experience
To create a truly special Starbucks Day for those deeply connected to the company, more than 600 partners (employees) and NGOs were invited to the Starbucks skybox, with some partners also participating in an autograph session with the SSG Landers team and an unforgettable experience on the baseball field, where they had a chance to interact with the players.
Customers also enjoyed exclusive beverages only available at the SSG Landers Field store, including the: Starbucks Slammer, a refreshing strawberry and açaí beverage, Red Power Smasher, and Red Power Smash Blended, a bright and refreshing cherry-infused cold beverage.
The three-day event celebrated togetherness, connecting partners, customers, and the wider community over sport for an unforgettable Starbucks Day.
Building a More Sustainable Community
As part of the company’s resource-positive goals to reduce waste and promote reusability, Starbucks offered free coffee to 9,900 customers who brought their own reusable cups or tumblers during the three day event.
Through similar initiatives in stores, Starbucks is encouraging customers to build a habit of using reusable containers, as we continue to strive for a sustainable future.
