Tata Starbucks Celebrates India’s Coffee Legacy with New Single-Origin Collection
Tata Starbucks is unveiling a tribute to the land, the people, and the stories behind every bean.
In the misty highlands of southern India, where ancient forests cradle generations of coffee-growing tradition, Tata Starbucks is unveiling a tribute to the land, the people, and the stories behind every bean. Introducing its first-ever estate-exclusive Indian single-origin whole bean coffees, sourced exclusively from three iconic estates in Coorg, Karnataka: Karadibetta, Margolly and Nullore.
This launch marks a new chapter in Tata Starbucks journey to honor India’s rich coffee heritage. Following the success of the Starbucks® India Estates Blend, the new single-origin range dives deeper into the terroir and craftsmanship of individual estates—each with its own flavor profile, biodiversity, and legacy.
Each estate in Coorg’s coffee belt offers a distinct taste and tale:

India Karadibetta Estate
Perched at 900–1000 meters above sea level, Karadibetta Estate produces Arabica coffee with tasting notes of jamun plum, ginger, and sweet tulsi basil. Its high acidity and medium body create a layered, aromatic profile that reflects the biodiversity and lush terrain of Coorg’s highlands.
India Margolly Estate
With roots dating back to the 1850s, Margolly Estate is in the undulating highlands of southern Coorg. Grown at 820-980 meters above sea level, this washed Arabica coffee features barhi date and cinnamon bark notes, rounded by a forest honey finish. The estate’s dense canopy, thriving pepper vines, and rainwater harvesting practices mirror the cool, humid conditions of evergreen forests, producing beans with balanced acidity, clean finish and distinct character.

India Nullore Estate
In 2016, a micro lot from Black 19 in Nullore Estate was the first coffee of Indian-orgin curated for the Starbucks Reserve® range. Grown at an altitude of 750-910 meters above sea level this Arabica coffee offers tasting notes of red apple and nutty sesame flower, with a sweet lemon acidity, a medium-light body, and medium-high acidity creating a balanced yet vibrant cup. Nestled in Madikeri’s mist-covered hills, the estate is a model of circular farming, where nature nurtures every bean under a two-tier canopy of native trees.
Crafted with Care, Illustrated with Purpose
The packaging of each coffee is adorned with illustrations that celebrate the wildlife and ecosystems of Coorg—from the Grey Hornbill of Nullore, to the vibrant flora of Karadibetta. These designs reflect Tata Starbucks commitment to ethical sourcing, biodiversity, and the communities that sustain these estates.
So the next time you brew a cup from Karadibetta, Margolly or Nullore, know that you’re sipping not just coffee, but a story centuries in the making.
